It is an essential cooling mat for summer. If you live in a hot area, this is undoubtedly the perfect choice for you.
There are various materials for bed cooling mats, and water buffalo leather mats stand out as the most high-end and luxurious option.
Why do we choose water buffalo leather? Because water buffalos are accustomed to soaking in water, their skin is far more breathable than that of other cattle—making it ideal for crafting leather cooling mats. Top-tier leather cooling mats are always made from water buffalo leather. Do not compare the breathability of yellow cattle leather with our water buffalo leather; they are not comparable at all, and the price difference is substantial.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to make a full-piece, seamless cooling mat from water buffalo leather. The shoulder and neck area of the back leather requires splicing. Please check the product images carefully. While water buffalos have a smaller body size, their leather is still the most suitable for cooling mats due to its exceptional breathability.
If you find other sellers offering "full-piece, seamless leather cooling mats," the material is most likely artificial (fake leather) or yellow cattle leather. Although yellow cattle leather is also of good quality, its breathability is far inferior to that of water buffalo leather.

Every cooling mat is made from carefully selected water buffalo leather. Despite our strict selection process, minor "growth marks" may occasionally appear—this is because cattle often get bitten by mosquitoes or insects during their growth, and these marks are exactly the characteristics of natural water buffalo leather. However, we always handpick hides with relatively few scars for production. Note that mats made from hides with fewer scars come at a higher price.
The thickness of this water buffalo leather cooling mat reaches an impressive 4mm (0.15 inch) , and up to 6.5mm (0.25 inch) including the edge binding. This is extremely thick—ensuring durability while maintaining excellent breathability, allowing the mat to last for many years. Currently, a 4mm (0.15 inch) thickness is the thickest for water buffalo leather cooling mats in China. Many sellers claim their mats are 5.5mm (0.21 inch) thick, but this usually includes the edge binding. When including binding, our mats reach 6.5mm (0.25 inch)—you will rarely find a thicker option. We guarantee it is hard to wear out. Thicker leather means a higher price, so please do not compare our mat with thin-style ones; they are not comparable. Most thin leather mats are made by removing the second layer of leather, which is why they are cheaper. Mats of our thickness are rarely available on the market and are usually only for custom orders—we only want to provide you with the best quality.
Additionally, the package includes two leather pillowcases , each made from 2mm (0.08 inch) thick leather. The default size of the pillowcases is 50×70cm (20×28 inches) . For custom pillowcase sizes, please send a private message to our customer service for personalized customization.
Note: Why don’t we use thicker leather for pillowcases? Because overly thick leather would make the pillowcases too stiff, affecting sleep comfort.
Moreover, the edge binding of our water buffalo leather cooling mat is also made from genuine leather. Some cheaper leather cooling mats you see are very thin (only 2mm or 3mm thick), so their edge bindings are made from artificial leather—please pay attention to this difference. We even use genuine leather for the binding.
Thin-style mats are not bad, but their material cost is much lower than thick ones. In terms of texture, thick mats are definitely superior. Since a leather cooling mat can be used for many years, we are committed to providing you with the best quality available.

For shipping, the cooling mat will be folded. You may notice creases when you unpack it—simply lay the mat flat for a period of time, and the creases will significantly fade.
For daily cleaning: Gently wipe the surface with a wrung-out damp towel. Air-dry the mat in a cool, ventilated place; avoid direct sunlight .
